Open Raleigh is built from public records, so it leaves as public records. Everything on the map is available to download or query, with no key and no account.

API

GET /api/v1/sites
Paginated list. Parameters: limit (max 500), offset, status (extant | demolished), format (json | csv).
GET /api/v1/sites/{slug}
One place in full, including its district memberships.
GET /api/sites.geojson
The whole published archive as a GeoJSON FeatureCollection.
GET /api/districts.geojson
District boundaries as polygons, plus one label anchor per district.

CORS is open and no authentication is required. Please be reasonable about request volume — the bulk downloads exist so you don't have to crawl.

Data compiled by Open Raleigh is offered under CC BY 4.0. Attribute “Open Raleigh” and, where you can, the original source listed on each record.

The underlying government records are public and carry their own terms. Photographs and contributed narrative will be licensed individually as they are added — each will state its own terms rather than inheriting a blanket claim.
